25th Anniversary Logo
OK members! As you know, FEGA is now in its 25th year. It would be nice to have some sort of logo to celebrate this. How about all of you Photoshop friendly folks come up with a nice logo? I'm open to ideas. The sky is the limit. You can draw it or make it from Photoshop. Just so it shows the 25th year and 1981-2006.
You can e-mail fega@fega.com with your submission or any questions. Get those creative juices going!

Here is the first submission. Weldon Lister did the sketch and sent it in with the comment: "Obviously, it is a rough drawing, but close enough to give the idea of the concept. Peraps this will spur some of the other guys on toward something useful!"

Weldon, your efforts are appreciated.

Another sketch! Marty Rabeno sent the drawing in, saying "maybe someone can tweek it up a bit and make it look professional once they see it posted."
Thanks for the work, Marty.

I like that one Marty.
Nice, simple design with all the original elements included in a readable, horizontal image.

Gee Marty, I didn't know you had it in you! That's a very good layout with continuity to boot.

Thanks Guys.......now we need someone to make it look professional.

I think we get could find a retired art major from Colorado that could turn this into a finished product!

We have a logo!
We had to search the globe to get it... :)
Andrew Biggs from New Zealand made this up for us.
Great job Andrew!
If I did things right, the logo should appear.....
If not, you can see it on the home page.
Thanks to all that helped!

Will it fit on the front of my john deere. Great job Andrew and Marty.

The logo looks better then i could have imagined. Thanks Andy, you did a fantastic job. It was a pleasure working with you.

Now here's a wicked thought......think we should rework the regular logo also?

Posted by Martin Rabeno  at 2/22/2006 8:50:16 AM.
Sam and Lee..
I heard that the winning bidder of the 25th anniversary Ruger #1 has filed off the engraving you did and wants the logo engraved in there now. I said you would do it....
Just kidding...
No one would want to mess with that gun at all!
Keep healthy. We'll make you do one for our 50th!

Marty,
I think it wouldn't hurt to have someone "clean up" the original FEGA log. I think the logo itself is just fine but it was drawn by hand years ago. A digital version would be nice. I'll try to figure out how to post what we have on this forum.

Let's try this..

Friend Andrew.
You did a fantastic job of translating Marty's great design into a finished logo.
Your computer and professional sign art/design skill came through for us all to enjoy, thank you.
I would like to see some consideration given to adopting a modified version of this horizontal as an alternate, official FEGA logo for use where this shape is a better fit. Business cards, for instance
And, a little bird told me, you did all this work on your birthday.
We all wish our new New Zealand member a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
