Springfield Arms 1911
Does anyone have some experience engraving the springfield arms 1911 pistol? also can a parkerized finisf be removed and replaced with a blued finish after engraving?

Hi David.
I think Rex would be one of your best sources of information on this.
He and his family have done just about every type of gun work.
Best to you, John.

Hi David,
I'm afraid I can't help you on the Springfield Armory model. I know the actual Colts are nice however. I would try to find one that was blued vs parkerizing. Usually the perkerized models have a rougher finish underneath and you'll have to spend a lot more time sanding and polishing.
Sorry, that's all I can help with.

Thanks John and Rex

I think I will wait on a blued model.
