Topic: Engraver issue 81  Number of Responses: 1

For all those waiting for the next issue of the ENGRAVER, issue #81 has arrived. The labels are made and are being packaged as we speak. I expect them to go out in today's or tomorrow's mail.
As usual, this issue seems to outshine the others. Many thanks to all that contributed to this issue!

Topic: Referal for case hardening job  Number of Responses: 2

Would it be out of order to ask for a list of firms or individuals who do color case hardening. Quality is my main concern. Price is not of prime importance.
I have a sharps 74 with some portraits on it that needs to be case hardened. You people know how much work that is. I normally do my own but do not have the proper blocks to do the sharps action.

How do fine portraits hold up when an action is case color hardened?

I had to start another post because quote marks in the other post mess up the code and won't allow a response.
I would suggest you contact him directly to see if he did the engraving.
His web site is: http://www.engraver.net/

I am being told that it is Therry Duget? Can anyone chime in and add any information to this engraver or whome "TD" might be?

Topic: Engraver Needed  Number of Responses: 1

Hi,

This might be a bit of an unusual request--I am looking for someone who is willing to engrave a picture and initials into one side of a coin to make a "love token", a practice that peaked in the 19th century. I've found a lot of sites that will do machine engraving, but I would like a very specific hand-engraved piece, and an engraver referred me to the FEGA site. I am looking for something like the coins found here:

http://www.omnicoin.com/user_view.aspx?id=engraved_type

I can provide you with the coin and design. This is a gift, and I'd like to get it done by Christmas. If you are able to do it, but not in that time frame, I would still consider that.

If you are interested, please send a link to samples of your work and a price quote to pearblossom0@yahoo.com. Thanks!
