Topic: The Engraver Issue 77  Number of Responses: 4

Wow, Andrew. Another home run.
Our journal just keeps getting better and better.
Mine arrived yesterday and has hardly left my hands since.
Great job, thank you.
And thanks for prodding for interesting articles and great pictures from our members.
Tira, Lee, Barry, Mike, Brian thank you for the great reads and wonderful pictures, keep 'em going Andrews's way.
Looking forward to seeing most of you in Reno in a couple of weeks.
Have a safe trip. John.

Topic: NEWSLETTER  Number of Responses: 6

I just received the latest issue of the FEGA newsletter and I must say it is the classiest issue we've ever put out. What a far cry from the mimeographed first issues. Bill you did a great job and Andrew, your article is first rate. Can't wait to listen to your seminar in Reno. And Rex.....You're almost as good of a president as I was...it will be fun to trash your room.

Eat the baked chips and not the fried chips...
Seriously, you need to demagnetize the tool. I have a large commercial demagnetizer but there as small ones available. Check Ebay or tool supply stores. They make life much better when the chips don't stick.

Is there anywhere a person can get ahold of scaled drawings of recievers for shotguns, cylinders for revolvers, frames for automatics and slides for automatics?

Topic: Traveling to Reno  Number of Responses: 0

For those of you traveling to Reno or anywhere soon by air, you may want to check the latest regulations on lithium batteries at the TSA web site.
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/batteries.shtm
I know many of you may be bringing cameras and extra batteries so it will be good to check it out to make sure you are in compliance.

Topic: 2008 Auction List  Number of Responses: 1

Just a reminder to everyone. Don't forget to check the "Auction List", at the top of the home page, often as more items will be added as they arrive. Thank you very much to those who have donated. For those of you that are planning to attend the exhibition, have a safe trip. We'll see you all there.

Well it’s that time of the year again where the big red guy pays us a visit and we all eat and drink to excess. Or at least we hope to.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the last twelve months; it’s been very much appreciated.

It’s amazing to think that Reno is only 5 weeks away. I’m very much looking forward to meeting you there and seeing all that fantastic engraving.

Wishing you, your families and loved ones a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

Topic: **Desparately NEED HELP  Number of Responses: 1

I have a friend that is going to customize a shotgun for his dad. The friend doing the work is going to create a design of a pheasant on CAD. The material is going to be removed with a computer programed CNC machine. My question is: What is the process for finishing the area which is now raw steel?
Please help ASAP, is for a Christmas Present!!! Thanks for any help!!!

Topic: GRS Engraving Equipment for sale!  Number of Responses: 3

GraverMax, 2 handpieces (910 and 710 I believe), Power Hone, Ceramic Lap, 260 grit wheel, 600 grit wheel, standard sharpening fixture, chasing hammer, 3 sharpened gravers, 6 quick release graver holders, 2” x 6” practice plates (5), 2” x 2” practice plates (4), etc. See the photos.

All equipment is almost brand new. The ceramic lap has had a slight amount of use. The other two wheels appear unused. The GraverMax is perhaps 10 + years old though it too has hardly ever been used. If purchased separately the cost would be over $2200 - asking $1300 plus shipping. For more information call me at 406-542-2880. Thank you.
