Topic: Congratulations Lee Griffiths  Number of Responses: 1

In the Product Reviews section of the October 2007 issue of the NRA American Rifleman magazine is an article about a series of John Wayne theme Ruger Vaquero revolvers.

These received the NRA Editor’s Choice award and are to be embellished by Baron Technology for Talo Wholesalers using artwork designed by Lee R. Griffiths, Vice President of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America.
Lee is a major artist and I am sure he has lifted these decorated firearms up to a new, higher level.

Congratulations to Lee on another breakthrough for the employment of the artistry of engravers.

Best regards, John B.

Topic: Wanted Cronite Universal  Number of Responses: 2

I am looking for a Cronite universal pantagraph. I have talked with Bob Steffens at Cronite and a referbished one is $2500. I'm just trying to save some money since I am starting out.

Topic: NEED HELP BL 22 engraver?  Number of Responses: 3

My dad gave my son a Browning BL 22 that he purchased in 1994. It is fully engraved with ranch symbols. The man who sold my dad the gun said the gun was about 15 yeard old already, and the engraver was from Texas, rode broncos in the rodeo, and had died in a motorcyle accident. I don't know if it was an elaborate story to make the gun more enticing or not! The man who sold Dad the gun owned a jewelry store in New Iberia, LA., and has long passed away. I would love to find out who engaved this gun. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Photos have been emailed of the gun.

Since I am just starting out in all of this I am looking for a safe so I can get my FFL going. So are there any that I need to say away from or are recommed? And the other question is which FFL do I need to get for doing the engraving. Thanks for any info.

Topic: GRS or Airgraver?  Number of Responses: 1

I am looking for a power engraving tool either a GRS tool or an Airgraver. I've heard pros and cons of both. Input from experienced users would be appreciated. If anyone has one to sell please contact me. o.truitt@att.net

Topic: Engraving for two years  Number of Responses: 9

Hi Everyone

Exactly two years ago to this day a box of engraving tools turned up on my doorstep that I had ordered from the United States. And so my adventure in engraving began. As everyday goes by through the gentle teaching of others I learn something new and gain a better understanding of what I’m doing.

John B, Rex, Marty, Thank you.

Below are some photos of a Uberti Remington Revolving carbine that I’m working on and should have completely finished by the end of the year. Hopefully in time for Reno in 2008.

Everything up till now has been a practice plate of some sort so this is my first fully working engraved gun.

As usual your thoughts and comments are welcome.

Cheers

Topic: Reno Show  Number of Responses: 16

Well, I have my hotel and airline reservations all done for my first FEGA show and am getting excited about attending. We'll arrive at Reno on Friday morning and was wondering what will be happening that afternoon and evening. I know the schedule is still being worked out but I was just curious. I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys and gals. Some I know personally but most of you I only know through the various forums. It will be a good time for me and I'm already planning on attending the seminars, twice if I can make it work!

Topic: Bulino Seminar  Number of Responses: 33

I am starting to put my thoughts together on the Seminar I will be doing after the Annual Meeting and Show this January in Reno. What I would like to know from our members is.......what points, details or techniques you would like me to cover while I do my demonstration. Your input will help me make this relevant.
Thanks
Marty
